FM Aryan wins the 1st NAGALAND ALL INDIA ONLINE OPEN CHESS TOURNAMENT 2020

FM ARYAN VARSHNEY grabs the 1st NAGALAND ALL INDIA ONLINE OPEN CHESS TOURNAMENT 2020 Organized by Nagaland Chess Enthusiases Group (NCEG) under the aegis of Nagaland Chess Association(NCA). FM Aaryan Varshney, Kartavya Anadkat, and Ashwath R were first, Second and third respectively. Altogether 141 Payers have participated from different parts of India in this Tournament. The most unique thing about this tournament NO GMs, IMs, WGMs, and WIMs was allowed in this Tournament. This was the first time Nagaland Chess Association Organises an online blitz event. This Tournament gives good tournament Practice to all Nagaland as well as Northeast Players to fight with rest of Indian Players during the Lockdown, where the player not able to meet and compete in OTB. Total Prize Money of the tournament was Rs.15000/- (Fifteen Thousand) Only ( No of Prizes:65).

The tournament was conducted on 11th July 2020(Saturday) from 5:00pm to 6:30pm in Lichess ( Arena Mode) of time format of 3min( without increment ).
